Maintenance Technician

Enfield CT metal machine shop currently seeking a Maintenance Technician! Full time, temp-hire opportunity! Candidate must be a skilled electro-mechanical technician to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout facility. Responsible for a wide variety of repairs, maintenance and upgrades on both machinery and building maintenance for a heat treat machine shop. Must pay attention to detail, have solid technical knowledge and good manual dexterity.

Duties include:

-Installing replacement parts and perform major and minor fixes as needed

-Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, check blueprints, repair manuals and online solutions.

-Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, troubleshoot any malfunctions.

-Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and change parts.

-Experience with welding, fabrication, electrical and HVAC is preferred!

-Lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs

-Will experience higher heat temperatures with moderate to loud noise and may be exposed to odors, dust, oil, grease and dirt.

-Position will report to the Operations Manager.

Schedule:

1st shift: 5am-1:30pm

Pay: $19-26/hr depending on experience
