Guillotine Cutter/Knife Operator

East Longmeadow manufacturing company currently seeking a Guillotine Cutter/Knife Operator for their 2nd shift position. This role is essential in ensuring precise cutting and shaping of materials to meet production standards and client specifications. Cutting machinery experience would be a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a guillotine and knife cutting machines to produce accurate cuts according to specifications
• Working in the paper processing and board/card conversion departments
• Set up machines, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cutting plans
• Monitor the quality of finished products, making adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards
• Responsible for overall operation of the cutting cell including set ups and changeovers.
• Responsible for changing blades and performing routine maintenance and inspections on cutting equipment to ensure longevity and efficiency
• Collaborate with production team members to meet deadlines and production goals
• Report production and waste counts

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating knife cutting machines
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and cutting plans
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in work
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on machinery
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to cutting equipment

Schedule: 2nd shift 2:30pm-10:30pm

Pay: $18.90/hr
