Trackman Operator

Local railroad company currently seeking a trackman to join their team. Full time, temp-hire opportunity! This role requires general labor background and experience with heavy equipment operation and/or mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Candidate would be working on the tracks and rails, lots of outdoor manual labor. Operating railroad machines, back hoes and skid steers.
• Communicate effectively with crew members and dispatchers regarding train movements and any issues that arise.
• Manage loading and unloading operations at various stops, ensuring cargo is handled safely.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with air brake systems is a plus.
• A military background may be beneficial due to the emphasis on discipline and adherence to protocols.
• Must have outdoor work experience (e.g. construction, heavy equipment operator, farming, landscaping)
• Lifting up to 70lbs (100 lbs on a rare basis)
